Tatiana's Book Corner Newsletter - March 9th

🌸Not Quite Spring🌸

I am back home this week. It was lovely to spend time in Seattle with my son's pets, and I am very happy to be back with Andy and the two kitties.

I arrived to a very warm Asheville. The weather feels like spring is here, but it is early. Even the peach trees are beginning to bloom. It is a bit disconcerning. The reality is that it will get cold again, freeze the blooms, and the bears will have no peaches. I would mention us having peaches, but the bears have never left us any.

The kitten, Alistair, is wonderful. He is at the stage of running one hundred miles an hour in every direction all the time. Ru is also well, but a little frustrated with the sibling. Alistair keeps hunting her. When she snaps at him, he sees it as a challenge and keeps going.

The only thing not going so well are my books. I have been stuck in a stillness that is hard to breakthrough. I know I need to finish the next two books of the Indefatigable Five. I need a new cover for the books. I want to do a really nice version of them. And yet, I have been 5000 words short of completing the draft for four weeks. Sigh. Schedule and routine are the answers. I know it. Sometimes, it is hard to get there.

But because I don't want to be a bummer, I will end on a cheerful note. The books for the last giveaway were mailed out yesterday. You should be receiving them shortly if you won.

I also have BookFunnel Promos at the bottom of the email. Check them out!

🎁Tatiana's Book Corner Giveaway 🎁

IMPORTANT NOTE - I changed some things about the form to make my life easier. To choose which books you want to possibly win, you have to click on the box under the title of the book, above the description. As always, you can select all of the books. Each book is treated as its own giveaway. I allow only one person to win each book, so that one person doesn't get all of the books. I only allow one entry. If you fill out the form more than once, it only counts as one entry. All books are bought by me and sent via Amazon to the winner on the 6th of each month. I need your address so that I can mail the books to the winners. I detele the forms after the giveaway is over and the books are mailed. Thank you!!!

🎁April 2026 Giveaway🎁

I decided to add a bit of a note as to why I chose the books I did in each newsletter.

The Cautious Traveller's Guide to the Wastelands - This book has been in my TBR for a few months. I think it looks amazing.

Children of Blood and Bone - This book has been in my TBR for a year. I need to read it.

How to Be Okay When Nothing Is Okay: Tips and Tricks That Kept Me Alive, Happy, and Creative in Spite of Myself - I love Jenny Dawson. This is her newest book. It will be out in time for me to mail it. Yay!

A Ghastly Catastrophe (A Veronica Speedwell Mystery) - I love this series. This is the newest book. It will be out next week. This is what I plan to do on my flight home to Asheville next week.

Crazy Rich Asians (Crazy Rich Asians Trilogy) - I had always been curious to read this book. It came up as a book with a character name Alistair. It was time.

Chain of Gold (The Last Hours) - When I searched for books with a character named Alistair. This one was the first one in every list, so it has been added, in honor of my new kitty.

The rest are my books and I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them.

🌹The Garden 🌹 Last year, I began my garden in January and February. I filled my bathroom and desk with baby plants ready to be put into the ground the moment the weather got warmer. That was 2025. 2026 has been a little different. Only yesterday did I begin the first efforts to create a garden. Hopefully, I will have some seeds planted by the end of the week. It is such a different feeling from last year. I have dragged my feet to put my hands into the dirt. It isn't only that my imagination...

🐰Bunny Rabbits and More🐰 Sometime in October, I was on my phone playing games. It is not an unusual situation. I love games on my phone. In this case, I decided to open up a home decorating app that I had closed a year before. I found out that if I played either a zombie battle game or a mythical creatures battle game, I could get points for more decorating. I started with the zombies. After a week, I was having nightmares. So I tried the mythical creature/castle building game. I haven't...

🌸And now, Spring🌸 I am not a fan of Winter. Cold is not my friend. I know that a warm cup of tea, a blanket and a good book are supposed to solve all of the Winter problems, but to me, it is just not enough. So, when Spring comes, it is a great celebration. Spring means that I am already late thinking about my garden. Last year, I was growing things from seed all over my desk and preparing for planting season. This year, I am behind. Two days ago, I saw a raccoon happily enjoying the compost...
