Welcome to another Monday newsletter. We are still in Kit and will be for a while. It is October, and I am excited for fall. I celebrated a Harvest Festival on Saturday in the middle of a gentle hurricane. It was lovely.
There are always moments to pause and think about the weather. Asheville is privileged to have very gentle weather. And then there was Helene. We still haven't fully recovered from that experience. In the midst of the craziness that is my life, I have been wanting to touch into the cycles of nature. Maybe I am trying to find my witchy energy.
I have been reading two books by Claire Wright. If you haven't read her and enjoy fantasy, she is great. Realm of Lore and Lies is the first book in the series. It is a modern fantasy, diving deep into the mythology of Ireland. I have had so much fun with them. Maybe that is why I am feeling like I need to get in touch with my inner witch. I am craving magic. Maybe it is the time of year.
For those of you who have not been a part of my newsletter for a while and wonder, WTF with the bunnies. They began as castle names for a game on my phone, and developed into a brand. The Worldbuilding Forge is adapting them wholly as part of its brand. Many times in my life, I have been teased that I am like a bunny. Too nice, too quiet, too scared. I decided to own it and turn it on its head. My bunnies are fierce. They build armies and conquer lands. My bunnies are cool. Maybe in the next newsletter, I will do the official introduction of the bunnies.
